While Andi Grant considers herself a native New Yorker, Puerto Rico holds a special place in her heart. It was while living on that lovely island that she met the love of her life, Mike, and started her beautiful family. She is one incredibly proud mama to four amazing children. Her two eldest, Amanda and Lizzie, are currently studying at University of Baltimore and Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, respectively. Her daughter, Zoë Grant, works as an integral part of Andi Grant Photography. Sebastian, Andi’s only son, is a brilliant young boy with a strong sense of adventure and humor.
Growing up with a father who was a photographer, Andi has always had an appreciation for the art. She took a leap of faith to follow her passion when almost 3 years ago she said good-bye to her long-time career as a 911 dispatch officer, and never looked back. Since then, her well-known style of wedding photography, both fresh and timeless, has made her one of the most sought after photographers in the Hampton Roads area. She takes pride in her ability to make her brides a top priority, from the first client meeting until the final album is delivered. Indeed, as is most often the case, she is happy to say that she has made dear friends for years to come.
When she’s not behind a camera, Andi can often be found swatting golf balls, sporting mirror shades at a poker table, or camped out on the couch engrossed in this month’s book club pick.
Zoë Grant started her photography career as a second shooter under Andi Grant. Over the past 3 years, she has worked on honing her natural gift for capturing the beautiful and eclectic. Zoë is now a lead photographer at Andi Grant Photography, and has created her own pet photography business, Pet Photography by Zoë, as well. Anyone who knows Zoë is not surprised by this, as her adoration for all things furry is evident within minutes of meeting her. She is a passionate advocate for the rights and protection of animals. While Zoë loves for a photo-shoot to feature drool and doggie treats, she definitely has a way of bringing out the best in her human clients as well. With her witty sense of humor and mile-wide smile, you can’t help but feel completely at ease in front of her camera.
